3 beds, 4 baths, 4500 square feet on 60 acres. Listing ad was short, “Beautiful antebellum (circa 1834) plantation home on sixty acres.” Ok. I did find out it has 5 outbuildings in addition to a pool and the main house. Here are more pics, warning flash site!

Oh, kitchen. Where have you been all my life? I’m a fan of everything but the island. Maybe it’s the granite, just doesn’t match the rest of the kitchen.

Inside the “Smoking House.” I’m not a drinker, but this is impressive. On the virtual tour (link in description) you can see the otherside of this room, also filled with liquor.

Pretty land.
1494 N. Old Highway 27, Monticello MS – $215,000
Known as The Fox House, named after General Arrington Fox, it is located on the banks of the Pearl River. “One hundred years ago the kitchen dependency was moved and attached to the main structure with a connecting breezeway.” 3 bed, 2 bath, 2600 square feet on 2 acres. I prefer these simple type of houses over Queen Anne’s, Italianate’s, etc. I don’t know why, maybe I just like simple things.

23700 Main St, Fairhope, AL – $314,900 $299,500
This cottage sits on the site of the 1st Catholic Church on the Eastern Shore. 4 bed, 2 bath, 2654 square feet. Wish I could blink my eyes and transport this house to Georgia, it is so adorable!
2137 Columbus Street, New Orleans, LA – $70,000 No longer listed.
I’m not amazed to see that there are still houses still standing in New Orleans, that still have the spray paint from the searches. I’ve seen recent photos and videos of neighborhoods still with trash and debris sitting on the lawns or in the middle of fields, so this house doesn’t surprise me. I would hate to have to restore a house that has been sitting for years after a flood though, no matter how charming or cute it could ever be after rebuilding.
