184 Big Creek Rd, Sneedville, TN – $84,500
I’ve spent so much time browsing houses, posting them and day dreaming about these old houses that I forgot about what I REALLY dreamed about doing. Yes, I love looking and daydreaming about Queen Anne’s but my real love is in simple farmhouses. I love the rough floors, tongue and groove (or beadboard) walls and ceilings. I prefer it over ornamentation I guess. I am usually equally in love with the land it is on too. Fields, orchards, gardens, creeks and the barns. If it were really up to me, my perfect house would be surrounded by nothing but land. No neighbors, no convenience stores, no fast food for miles. No people but me, Timmy and Taters (since she thinks she is a person anyway.) Maybe one day, we’ll move to a place that we could actually afford more than 1 acre of land that has an old house on it. Until then, I have to day dream about places like this one.
5.45 acres with two fenced pastures, barn, year round creek, fruit and walnut trees. It also has a 100+/- year old two story farm house in need of renovation and a trailer (to live in while the house is restored.) This would be my ideal place. And, the price isn’t bad either! Did I already mention, it is located in Tennessee, my favorite state!
- Yes, looks like it needs some work! Sorry, no interior pics available.
- Looking at this house reminds me of a couple who decided to live in an old farmhouse, no electricity. It sounds romantic, and I admire what they are doing, but I don’t think I could survive without air conditioning and my laptop! But still, sounds like an ideal life.
- Year round creek! Beautiful!
