310 E Broadway Ave, Monmouth, IL – $210,000
5 Bed, 2 Bath, 3043 square feet. A house beyond awesome! The only thing I’d hate is to visit the house right now, I just KNOW I’d break something! There is a virtual tour with a few more pics here. This is one of Monmouth’s earliest built brick homes. “The 2nd floor is lit by Tiffany fixtures and has ornate ceilings, parquet floors, pocket doors, stained/leaded glass windows and fireplaces.” This home is listed on the National Register of Historic Places. Check out the street view.

Lots of stuff, would be interesting to visit just too see it all! Then again, I’m 100% sure I’d break at least one thing. Knowing my luck, it would be the thing that is worth a few hundred thousand dollars.

204 N Main St, Ewing, IL – $31,000
3 Bed, 1.5 Bath, 1800 square feet. I was expecting a lot, judging from the exterior. Unfortunately, it was a let down. Maybe they just needed to post more pics.
570 Anthony St, Glen Ellyn, IL – $879,000
4 Bed, 3.5 Bath. Love this house! Although not fond of the light fixtures they went with, the rooms look so bright (& airy!)
I did leave the pictures large, so if you want to see a bit of detail, just click on the pic.
Next to a huge church.

This is probably one of my favorite entry ways ever! I wonder what it would have looked like without the wood being painted though.

Although I wasn’t fond of some of the furniture in this house, that sofa is completely awesome! Too bad they didn’t go with tongue and groove ceilings in the attic. But still, very cool floors.

300 Scottswood Rd, Riverside, IL – $1.299 Million
3 Bed, 3.5 Bath, 3028 square feet. A Frank Lloyd Wright designed home. He describes this home (so the listing ad says), “So I put the best in me into this house. I feel now, looking back, that this was the best I could do in a house.” Virtual tour available. Aerial view and street view.
PS, if you are into Frank Lloyd Wright and are a Netflix subscriber, there are two documentaries about him and his houses available for instant viewing.
