243 Wilson Ave, Eutaw, AL – $239,900
5 Bed, 2 Bath, 4000 square feet on 1 acre. Known as the Dr. Willis Meriwether House and the Clark-Malone House. Moved from Springfield to its current location in 1856 and is listed on the National Historic Registry. I found the two older pics here.

500 Springfield Ave, Eutaw, AL – $164,900 $179,950
4 beds, 4 baths, 4,000 square feet on 2.5 acres. Known as the Wilkes Banks House, it is listed on the National Register. Does anyone live in or near Eutaw, Alabama? If you do, do me a favor and drive over to this house to take a bunch of interior pics! Please!! ;)

I found this site that also shows houses around the same county this house is in. Very cool houses, I’ll have to take a trip to this county one day.

3/10/10 Edit: I know, I know, I brought this one back from the dead from Oct. ‘09. It went off market for a while and now is back on at a slightly higher price. Found a couple of interior pics, but not enough! Agh!

558 High St, Petersburg, VA – $699,950
5 Bed, 1.1 Bath, 3434 square feet. Known as The Beasley House, it was headquarters for Robert E. Lee during the Civil War, the cottage outback was used as his office. I thought this was interesting about the Siege of Petersburg. There is a virtual tour available, bigger pics! Aerial view available.

In the book “Civil War Petersburg” by A. Wilson Greene, it was said that “Colonel Walter Taylor selected the residence, the Beasley House, which was vacant at the time. ‘I took possession of a fine house-had his room nicely cleaned out and arranged, with a cheerful fire&c,’ wrote Taylor, but ‘it was entirely too pleasant for him, for he is never so uncomfortable as when comfortable.’ The general shifted quaters to a tent west of town for a short time before returning to the Beasley House.”

3763 Kentucky Hwy 1842 N, Cynthiana, KY – $250,000
3 Bed, 2 Bath, 2191 square feet on 6 acres. Poplar hardwood floors, exposed hand hewn beams, original moldings, staircase, doors, cabinets and fireplace mantles. Also has the coolest copper sink I’ve ever seen! Not sure how practical it is, but it is cool to look at.
