Millheim is such a neat little town to visit. My spouse and I stayed at the 1790’s Millheim Hotel in April 2009. Rather spartan in some ways but oozing historic charm. Supposed to be haunted as well but we were the only guests that quiet night. This Second Empire is but one of the many great old homes in the town, The local Amish farmers add even more charm. The faded 1890 Rearick House Queen Anne on Penn Street is one of the most ornate examples of the style in Pennsylvania. We traveled from Texas to make a special visit to Millheim and it was worth it.
